Aistear is the Early Childhood Curriculum Framework

In case the NCCA should change the URLs again just google Aistear and you should have no problems finding it. Whereas I try my best I cannot always keep up with every change in an external website.)

Difference between Síolta and Aistear
Whereas the purpose of Síolta is 'improving the overall quality of early childhood services for children and families', the aim of Aistear is 'to provide challenging and enjoyable experiences so that all children can grow and develop as competent and confident learners within loving and nurturing relationships with others.'

Therefore, Aistear also applies to children's homes and is thus of interest to parents.

I highly recommend familiarising yourself with Aistear.
